Имела счастье читать это произведение, но откровенно говоря мало что из него запомнила, разве что ключевые моменты - превращение в мертвецов, что был какой-то принц и принцесса, какой-то древний...

Айра Левин - Такой чудесный день

Сегодня я хочу поговорить о романе Айры Левина – «Этот идеальный день» или в моем переводе – «Такой чудесный день», написанном в 1970 году.

И это самая скучная и неинтересная антиутопия, которую я брала в руки. А их я прочитала достаточно. «Мы» Замятина, «1984» Оруэлла, «451 градус по Фаренгейту» Бредбери, «О дивный новый мир» Хаксли, «Дающий» Лоури, «Рассказ служанки» Этвуд. Может быть, кого-то забыла, но думаю, вы меня поняли. Этот жанр мне нравится и если я вижу книгу, принадлежащую к нему, то сразу откладываю все свои списки и читаю.

Но эта книга просто дала мне удар под дых. Настолько странного, затянутого и неинтересного повествования в данном жанре, я думаю, поискать надо – днем, с фонарями.

Книгу я не дочитала. Мне хватило первых 150 страниц. И у меня не возникло никакого желания узнавать, чем повествование закончилось – оно за это количество страниц даже не началось.

Здесь нет проблематики или какого-то конфликта. Нам рассказывают о мальчике девяти лет, по имени ЛИ РМ35М26Д449977ЬЭЮЯ – мне кажется, именно так в скором будущем будут выглядеть ники игроков в WoW. А я-то думала, что у Замятина имена были странные!

Тут все это продиктовано, что имена детям придумывает компьютер, который и управляет жизнью всего общества. С рождения и до самой смерти.

Реально, все вопросы решает компьютер. Кем работать, где жить, как всем выглядеть, кому рожать детей и сколько.

И это первый и последний мой глобальный вопрос к повествованию. Если все выглядят одинаково, как они друг друга различают?

У людей одинаковый рост, вес, телосложение, лица, цвет глаз, кожи и волос. Усредненные, как нам говорят. Ну, допустим.

Мне сразу представилась ситуация, где идет семья в толпе людей, скажем при посещении какого массового мероприятия. И вот ребенок чуть отстал – шнурки надо завязать, или толкнул его кто-то. Как ему родителей найти? Все же одинаковые! И я думаю, что не сильно погрешу против истины, сказав, что и одеты все в одно и то же. Толерастия же победила.

И что мы получаем? Огромную дыру в сюжете, которая перечеркивает интерес к повествованию, если его так можно назвать. Потому что, я читала о том, как маленький мальчик ходит в сад, общается с детьми, принимает какие-то пилюли(видимо усмиряющие интеллект), ходит в музей с дедушкой и… все. Нет проблематики. Нет того, что делает антиутопию антиутопией. Нет проблемы мира. Все счастливы и довольны. Ну а раз счастливы, то и черт с вами – я закрыла книгу и оставили все дальнейшее на совести автора.

На проспекте вообще было очень тихо. Теперь самым громким звуком являлась мирная беседа не спешащих прохожих (таковых было немного, но все же порядком для того, чтобы создавать свой определенный, ни на что не похожий и неповторимый шум).
