Крис Картер - Экзекутор

Сегодня я хочу поговорить о книге Криса Картера – «Экзекутор», написанной в 2010 году. Информации об авторе я не нашла, но обложка говорит нам, что это не первый его рассказ – «От автора мирового бестселлера «Распинатель». Ну и названия у него, скажу я вам.

Не знаю ничего о первом романе, но «Экзекутор» полностью оправдывает свое название. Книга не то чтобы страшная – несмотря на зловещую обложку с надписью – «Триллер», она скорее мерзкая. Особенно в части описания убийств. Такой изощренной фантазии я от автора не ожидала. Мне реально было не по себе, когда я читала описание второго убийства. Не то, чтобы я боялась огня, но все же – ни один человек на земле не заслуживает таких пыток. А я как читатель, не заслуживаю таких подробностей. Ранее я говорила о том, что автор «Американского психопата» больной. Нет, ребята. Картер – вот кто по-настоящему болен.

Распознать убийцу(здесь его называют киллером – ибо издание такое. О нем позже) довольно сложно – им является человек, над которым систематически издевались в детстве, но да самого последнего момента, нам не дадут и намека. А потом уже и не потребуется – со словами – Вот же он, на фото! – детективы раскрывают дело. Я такие детективы еще со времен «Собаки Баскервилей» ненавижу.

А теперь пару слов о самом издании. Оно отвратительно. Начиная с перевода, заканчивая редактурой.

«Он наступил на кость, торчащую из сломанной лодыжки жертвы, нагнулся и быстро всадил три гвоздя в правое его колено. Резкая боль пронзила его ногу, и он выдохнул весь воздух до капли. На несколько секунд у него все поплыло перед глазами».

Как говорил профессор Преображенский – Кто на ком стоял? Потрудитесь выражаться яснее!

«-Мне кажется, что если священник был убит прямо тут, - Гарсия указывал на тело, - как здесь появится вся эта кровь?»

Никак. Редактор-то ведь не появился.

«Гарсия подсадил Хантера в семь часов утра».

Речь идет о том, что один полицейский забрал на машине другого. Не правда ли, удачное слово выбрали?

«Через пять лет она вышла замуж за Вильяма Кларка, атторни и совладельца «Фостера Харви».

Вы тоже знаете значение слова атторни? Нет? Правильно, потому что оно даже написано неправильно.

Кто-то скажет – ну зачем все это? Чего ты привязалась к тексту? Неужели нельзя просто наслаждаться текстом?

Нельзя. Я деньги заплатила за книгу. И не 50 рублей и не 100. Я хочу получать за свои деньги качественный продукт. Если для многих это странное желание – то для меня основопологающее.

Поэтому, хочу поставить один большой минус переводчику – И.Е.Полоцка(не могу понять – женщина или мужчина, поэтому не могу правильно написать) и всему издательству – Центрполиграф.

А сама книга вполне достойна - отличный образчик бульварного чтива, которое берешь в руки, чтобы разгрузить мозги.
